All week it was bugging me that this painting seemed unfinished. So this afternoon I revamped this Pinwheel girl and gave her lots of crackle and stain. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I feel so much better! She was cute when completed but I was afraid that if I added this finish it would take away the stars on her dress. It worked out fine and now she's crackily-good! www.pumpkin-seeds.com

Snap crackle POP, much better....
All week it was bugging me that this painting seemed unfinished. So this afternoon I revamped this Pinwheel girl and gave her lots of crackle and stain. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I feel so much better! ah Janell I am a SUCKER for patina and crackle! Just love it! Have you ever tried gold leaf size and gum arabic? Or you can use gloss varnish, less fumes. It really did finish the opiece off nicely!
